Ribbo is a template for a horse best suited to the old days of long-format Eventing. Neither his conformation, nor his temperament, aid him in the pursuit of dressage excellence, and that's putting it mildly! He is a running and jumping “freak of nature“, and it has taken many years to figure out how to maximize these qualities which can be at odds with today's sport. He is, however, "a Magician with his knees" and despite his size and propensity for speed, so careful and catlike that today's technical jumping efforts are not an issue.
